Oakenshield reports a bug:

I think it would be neat to have mimes have a chance of droppin an item which looks like a chest, is called a chest, but when you place it, spawns a mime.

The problem is that you can easily tell apart good chests from bad chests. They don't stack.

I like this way of thinking though. Imagine having a pet mime that just sits between your other chests and waits for intruders.

I feel like default:chest nodes, like the ones you find in dungeons, should have a chance of turning into a mime enemy when you try to open them (in unprotected areas only, of course!). when you kill the mime, it would then drop whatever the contents of the chest were.
