MineWorlds reports a bug:

sailwhip bug: you can launch sailboats into the air using the balrog's whip drag, and can also make the sailboat extremely fast as well.

this one is 100% a bug. the effect is pretty dramatic.

added the sailship and a bunch of other things to the balrog whip blacklist: f9d4b81260

note that the yl_cities, yl_events, and yl_speak_up entities were previously blacklisted in mobs_balrog itself, but i've moved them to our integration code.

I actually remember testing this one on the testserver and I even think I showed Alias it once

QA : Somehow on testserver AND mainserver, I fail to pull entities towards me. They appear to bounce off the flames the right click action generates.

On testserver, it is no more possible to pick up items with the balrog whip. I assume that is intended?

The bug though is solved, neither boats nor airships can be dragged at crazy speeds (or I'm too stupid to get the effect going)
