At some point it was decided that it should be just a variant of /a command. But maybe only people inside the range of the arrow should get it?

Maybe there should be versions for global and ranged messages?

Or, how do you think it should work?

Being within the range of the target same as nametag viewable distance makes sense to me, or within range of player that issued it same as nametag viewable distance; would need to decide what is the intent.

For longer (or global) distance the compass improvements @whosit is developing will reduce friction to use compass and encourage better communication and planning. Having a local "/look" is useful for what situations?:

During a battle to identify stationary invasion mobs ("Focus")
Group tours and quests for where to go next waypoint
Logging a location; the improvements to compass will make this a self-service option.

Possible that the compass improvement could be set a compass to some "channel" like @playername which will update automatically, or from the commander flag.

Made another variant of command: /llook (for "local look"): it will show both waypoint and message only to people close to you (60 blocks at the moment)

It does not go to discord, message does not ding, color of the message is white, and before showing message/waypoint it lists people that will see the point, so you can confirm or cancel it.

The main usage is when you're with a group of people, and want to point at stuff without bothering the rest of the server.

If you have suggestions about range, should messages be global or however different /look variants should be tweaked, I'm interested to hear them.

Also, if you have any suggestions for alternative name: please tell :)
