every death due to lag is terrible, no matter how much xp you lose. i've lost around 100k xp moving miocene so far? i'd love to have it back. but, until we have better mob intelligence, i see the current system as more-or-less fair. if you care about your XP, don't get yourself into a terrible situation. terrible situations include fighting an eye and a swarm of vexes in a tunnel - there's no way to escape, no matter how many golden apples and invisibility potions you have.
It's hard to predict what will be a terrible situation with all this lag. Mostly staying away from Eyes (if they are visible in time), swallowing inv potions like there's no tomorrow and quickly eliminating the foci so that no more lag creators step through helps.
Loosing 100k xp is bad. There's in theory a reward for moving the Miocene. It shouldn't turn into a total loss, especially not for the most capable fighters. Even if someone participated in absolutely each run, the reward is most likely less than 30k.
Much less than 30k, may less than 3k.
Lag and invisible potions are a bad combination. I hope, someone will think about #2541
BTW How could that be, that I could edit Sokomines text by failure. I never wanted that kind of priv.
Yes. That's why even inv potions are no guarantee to survive. At least it gives some time to hit the focus and hope for the situation to become more relaxed afterwards.
