AspireMint reports a bug:

[Voting] Options "FOR" "AGAINST" "ABSTAIN" should be in this order "FOR" "ABSTAIN" "AGAINST". Reason: You don't see confirmation, whether you clicked on right option, only thanks for voting text. This can be problematic on touchscreens (small screen or big fingers :P). What if i want to press FOR and accidentally press AGAINST? :/ Better if that was ABSTAIN by accident. Same for AGAINST option.

having it show up in the NPC formspec would be best. if that's not easy enough, having it show up in your personal chat would be preferable to getting an in-game mail.

Since the NPC json files reside in the worldfolder, we have access to them. We could also gather votes in a local table and display a separate formspec to everyone showing their votes. Unfortunately this would mean storing the votes in a code-accessible way, which I prefer not to.
