Is this when killed by wither in lava the status text says starved to death?
This is a bug. Seems like when you're exploded or take area damage, the death is not attributed to the circumstances, but to starvation.
any death due to
set_hp
which isn't poison currently shows up as starvation. fixed ina46874716f

this is apparently not live w/ 1.1.117.1.
//lua minetest.get_player_by_name("flux_testing"):set_hp(0)
->flux_testing starved to death near jumble
Oh! I didn't pull the respawn mod. Only the few ones mentioned in 1.1.1117.1
my fault, i thought this was part of the bones update for some reason
Let's share blame: I pulled all of the code, then only checked out the specific 1.1.117.1 repos which are noted in #3700
It didn't occur to me to do it the other way round and rest to 1.1.117, then only checkout the repos to the needed commits.
Lesson learned.
this is live
