two possible options:
the latter option adds a few more nodes, but would probably look better. the former would have other uses too (e.g. you could enlarge paintings...)
For these pelts, it'd be good to show them 2.5d (like the items in the smartshops used to be). That way they gain more dimension. As they're used for decoration only this will hopefully not be too expensive for clients.
Placing fur on the floor ought to work directly. It can of course then call a function and place an invisible itemframe. Perhaps use glue so that the fur will stick to that part of the floor where it's placed and not glide away?
