At some point in the past, mobs_monster chose to reskin and remodel one of the most iconic mobs of Minetest: The mesemonster.
On request, let's bring back the old mesemonster and allow it spawn as a separate entity alongside the new one.

lots of color variations on the 'new' mese monster model but so far about 20 'new' and zero 'sponge bob' style ones. Or we could call them 'box shape' if you prefer.
Yes! Please bring back the old one. The new one can remain in addition to it. But the old one had more style. Was just so cute.

a mime immediately tried to attack this one, but met fierce resistancce and somehow managed to hide as a chest to deter the attack. that's not something i coded them to do...
