Absolute_Mongoose reports a bug:

after finally trying the mithril scythe, I have to honestly say that it is horrible for a few reasons: such as extremely low durability. It almost broke after harvesting a couple rows of blueberries and two rows of carrots. This is not mithril durability. Additionally, it drops the crops on the floor, forcing me to pick them up by hand. I feel profound regret at my lost resources used to make the mithril scythe. Please upgrade? Thank you.

that it drops items on the ground is a dupe of #831 (though most of the discussion is in #155), but increasing its durability is something i support as a separate issue.
