i just installed Minetest 5.6.1 and i have two problems: 1) i cant see flat items on smartshops; 2) i cant see text on signs_road:white_sign. I dunno if are YL related

this is a known bug w/ the upstream client, that has been fixed, but isn't part of a released version yet:

a temporary solution is to turn on shaders (even w/ all the specific shaders turned off)

this is correct. however, when 5.7 comes out, we can tell people to use that instead.
