Nice idea. They could make the underground world more intresting.
Looks nice, we intend to add dwarves, goblins, orcs and elves and maaaybe some others to the world.
We cna take inspiration from those.
I have only one thing to say to that.

Jokes aside, YES, underground mining can be boring. Adding more mobs/structures would be neat (tho, for structures ig you'd need to reload the map...). I think that caverealms already adds alot but hostile monsters are a pain. Having some friendly wouldnt hurt, quite the contrary. Would be nice if we could manually spawn them too for dwarven cities.
i very much agree the mines are mostly boring. i've got a lot of possible plans for how to enhance them, but it's not currently a high priority, mostly cuz i've never spent much time writing or optimizing mapgen code. also, it'd be quite tricky to make any major changes to the underground while minimizing the impact the changes have on existing player builds.
