Shifter Tool
Adds a tool for moving nodes as pistons would
https://content.minetest.net/packages/jwmhjwmh/shifter_tool/
Adds a great tool for builders
this is very much a creative player thing; it's also liable for major accidents w/out a proper undo mechanism.
cf. #1896 (landscape shaping tool)
What's the usecase?
I'm opposed to most mechanics that move things, in the fear that it might crash the server like it did so many times with pipeworsk and meseocns and moving blocks.
Isn´t really a big help for builders imo.
pushing a single node doesnt make alot of sense, even if you need to move 15 nodes digging the first and placing one at the end of the line has the same effect.
Also this mod doesnt check for area protections at all which is just a disaster to come for no real benefit.
In many cases my replacer (or the fork used here) can help with keeping orientation and pattern. Maybe not as comftable as that shifter tool but ought to be good enough? Else please describe the use case more closely.
