(and stale upstream: https://github.com/narrnika/factory_bridges )
I had not thought much about stairs in minetest until these Factory Bridges stairs. The stairs mod nodes we have already are more suited for outdoor pathways and underground dungeons, not so much what you would see from an iron worker. Try it out on the test server and see?
honestly, these would look great in the morlock library, where i'm currently using
cottages:fence_small
for both the railing and "floor" of the scaffolding.adds 41 new nodes.
If I remember right the last time that mod was suggested Alias said it doesnt match the server theme medieval/fantasy.
steampunk theme is also accepted, i think?
Yes, but those pure steel railings and chequered plates look more like industrialisation age.
steampunk is early-industrial w/ a bit of magic and over-engineering. perhaps it is a bit too modern and minimalist.
cf. some examples:
I'll be the first to agree the aesthetic is not ideal. It is the function of the stairs that I'm in favor of, especially on interiors. Can we try them on test server, and the discussion goes to better stairs for interiors?
