I placed some jungle tree saplings at night, after choping some trees down, and three of them grew into trees again in the same night. There wasn't any light source.
My guess is, that it has something to do with moretrees, because at every of these three times, the trees that had grown had yellow or red jungle leaves besides the normal ones.
moretrees ongen saplings grow at night. personally i have no problem w/ trees growing at night, so long as the daytime light level would be bright enough (
node.param1 % 16
).But they weren't ongen, I placed the saplings myself.
And I don't quite understand the second part? You say, you think it's okay if trees grow as long as the daytime light level is bright enough, but when it's night there is no daylight.
sometimes players can end up w/ ongen saplings, though i'm not certain i know how that happens each time.
the game stores both day and nighttime light value at
every nodemost nodes always, it's possible to check what either the current light level is, or the daytime light level, or the nighttime light level.as a note, several trees grow in the dark, not just ongen saplings.
