this is a side effect of something being buildable_to
i feel like you shouldn't be able to "build" a node on top of the same node and delete the first node (e.g. grass), but that'd be an engine change.
alternatively, placing glow worms could work like placing crops, which have their own weird custom mechanic for handling this situation.
