Orienteering has some nice tools, though the "advanced" ones would need to be disabled.
There are a couple of wallclock items you can put up at a wall. Search for "ontime".
The HUD already has areas, xp, map and chat, and in the future it needs to display statuseffect icons as well. I'd prefer not to add more elements, it might get cluttered.
I think you are refering to this mod
HUD Analogic Clock
Adds an analogic clock to hud
https://content.minetest.net/packages/apercy/hud_analog_clock/
that's a great start, except
Maybe modify the position of the clock in the mod.
don't get me wrong; i'd love to have some sort of clock in the HUD - as a werewolf, i need to remember to eat vegetable-based food before night falls (see #1671). but this mod doesn't do much of what we need, other than provide some art.
I found another mod pack that shows time
Orienteering
A collection of tools to help you orient yourselves in the world, such as compass, altimeter, etc.

@sherkhan30452 see my suggestion for orienteering above, and alias's reply.
Sorry I missed, that comment, I was looking through mods DB and came across this I remembered you wanted a solution so I posted it.
https://content.minetest.net/packages/kestral/hud_compass/
How about this mod, you can change the position, despite the name is HUD compass, it comes with a 24-hour clock.
also another mod, called POS tool
https://content.minetest.net/packages/SwissalpS/postool/?protocol_version=42
Adds a HUD to show current ingame time and position also tool to visualize map-blocks
This too has ability to change position. (and I tested it myself)
Maybe instead of cluttering the HUD with just another display we could have a time service you could subscribe to? I.e. that sends a message to all intrested players that night is about to fall or day to come.
Or - as werewolves alrady have that reddish "frame" around - perhaps it could start slightly earlier and slightly less reddish as a warning of a transition soon to happen?
Right now, the disadvantages of werewolves seem to be too big.
A certain "bells" mod could also chime at nightfall and daybreak :D
to be precise, i'm imagining something like minecraft's clock. i suppose i could rip out the corresponding item from mineclone?
