Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

No. Not until there is a way to make sure TNT does not enable players to grief other players' plots. Of course, you cannot set down a TNT block within someone else's protection, but there are - especially together with mesecons - a few cases where you could sneak ignited TTN over a protection border.
That's why tehre's no TNT for players at the moment. Should there be a way to make sure players cannot grief other players protection, it will be enabled again.
Height checks do not suffice since players might build their bases underground.
ThinkSome says: TNT respects protection on Blocky survival, and can be used by normal players
There is now a faq on the topic, the lag issues were kind of solved and now only the cannons need fixes, then we can make the priv available.
