Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Yes, I second that. So new, still relevant material does not compete with material that could have expired a long time ago.
Done some testing, I didn't even know there were two different boards - and the second board that we do not have at Haven spawn (called: bulletin_boards:bulletin_board_basic) has entries, too, some of them I have never seen.
The code does have a culling function for old entries.
It appears to not be working though.
And if it did, that would not be the ideal solution either, because it would just cull old messages and not give an option to keep them up if you keep paying for them. I guess we would have to make a custom adaptation here.
There ought to be a way to alert players to new issues and to make it possible for each player to see which topics he/she has read already. Similar to the mail mod.
It would also be nice to have a local version (i.e. a golden board) where local news could be posted - such as to cooperate between players who live in diffrent timezones and build together, towns, guilds etc.
