Having the "Farewell!" option in every dialog is a good default option, but there are cases when it is undesireable (NPC might speak non-english language, be mute, dead etc.). There should be an NPC property to disable this behaviour. NPC owner would be responsible for including appropriate "end interaction" options manually.

I'd like to keep the "Farewell!" option as a standarized way to end conversation with an NPC so that players know how to end a conversation without having to resort to ESC.

Translation to another language is a very big TODO that will be a tremendous amount of work. I can imagine the "Farewell!" option to be translated to the speakers' selected language, but beyound that...

Perhaps we can assume that - even if the NPC is not talking/dead - the player is still polite and says "Farewell!" to the body.
